We supply premium HMS1 & HMS2 steel scrap, the global standard for steel recycling feedstock. Our material is processed to meet international ISRI specifications, ensuring optimal quality for steel mills and foundries.

Grade Specifications

HMS1 (Premium Heavy Scrap)

  • Density: ≥0.7 tons/m³

  • Thickness: ≥6.35mm (1/4 inch)

  • Composition:

    • Structural steel (beams, plates, rebar)

    • Heavy piping & machinery parts

    • No galvanized or coated steel

  • ISRI Codes: 200, 201, 202 (size-optimized for furnace charging)

HMS2 (Mixed Heavy/Light Scrap)

  • Density: Variable (lighter components)

  • Thickness: ≥3.175mm (1/8 inch)

  • Composition:

    • Thin-walled tubing (e.g., bicycle frames)

    • Sheet steel <3.2mm

    • May contain galvanized/coated steel

  • ISRI Codes: 203-206 (includes auto scrap, excludes thin-gauge iron)

Standard Supply Ratio

  • 80% HMS1 / 20% HMS2 (adjustable per buyer requirements)
